On June 14th, I decided to accept the vegan pledge with the start date of July 1st in mind. It was important for me to use the next two weeks to read a couple books, glean information, gain some background knowledge, find work arounds, in advance, for challenges I knew I would face, such as "What cookie and pastry options do I have?" I ran across a health checklist when reading, "Skinny Bitch" and figured I'd use it to measure my starting point.
