Okay, I'm seriously considering dumping this blog. I really don't know what the point is. Everything is so ho-hum. I'm doing great. I feel fine. My energy is good. But that's my regular state, vegan or not vegan.
If I am to have any "complaints" about the pledge, it's that my skin isn't glowing or radiant!! It's still crap. That probably has to do with all the sweets I'm eating. Sure, my diet has been animal-free but it hasn't exactly been nutrient-rich.
I still haven't cooked a meal. I still haven't tried out a vegan recipe - dessert or otherwise. And except for the veggie burgers, my grocery shopping habits haven't changed much.
Certainly, my tastebuds are more sensitive. I can taste the subtleties in flavor, and texture and consistency play a larger role than they ever have in the eating experience. Nothing I've eaten recently is made with heaps and heaps of white sugar, so now, I can actually taste flavors. Like yesterday, that unappetizing-looking vegan peanut butter cookie, turned out to be very tasty, pleasant and enjoyable. In fact, I was really craving one today and I would've drove out to get it but I ran out of time. I'll get one tomorrow and have it for my second breakfast.
